Cha & co

Located on Golf Course Extension Road, Gurugram, Cha & Co. is a contemporary matcha café inspired by the quiet rituals and craftsmanship associated with Japanese tea culture. The project is inspired by the quiet rituals and craftsmanship associated with Japanese tea culture. The project explores how cultural influences can be translated into a contemporary hospitality experience without becoming literal or thematic. The design draws from principles of simplicity, craftsmanship, balance and attention to detail. Warm material tones create a welcoming backdrop, while a continuous green ceiling becomes the café's defining architectural gesture. Soft lighting and coordinated upholstered seating complement the colour palette, which draws inspiration from the visual character of matcha itself. The result is an immersive yet understated environment—one that offers a moment of pause and retreat within a fast-paced urban setting while remaining relevant to a contemporary city lifestyle.
